Whilst in classes for Bachelor of Business at Torrens, realised I had ZERO interest in doing that course. Looked up Interior Design courses and discovered Torrens course and made decision to change course.
What did I learn this week?
- That being creative is important to me. Learning about business is not!
- That if you press the button for 'future students' when calling Torrens, you get through to a human without waiting on hold for half the day!
What obstacles did I face, how did I overcome them?
- Navigating the subject selection/ enrolment process solo (as public holiday Monday by the time my course confirmation came through). Couldn't add subjects without unenrolling from Business subjects but then couldn't unenrol from ALL my business subjects as system didn't like that either. Overcame this obstacle by looking up FAQs etc on enrolment and discovering the rules and secrets.
- Anxiety heading to a dinner and meeting. Sat in car and practiced some mindful breathing for 5 minutes to calm myself.
